Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature in which paper burns…
Written in October of 1953, by Ray Bradbury was the stunning and remarkable book known as Fahrenheit 451. This book was interesting as well as creative, regarding the way the author addressed the importance of literature. He created a fictional world in which books were a crime to be in possession of and are burned. Literature is shunned and technology has brainwashed the rest of humanity, which he found relevant to address during the 1950’s. As the constant increase of technology overwhelms generation after generation, books and literature are overlooked and labeled as boring. Ray Bradbury’s book wanted to inspire generations to come to keep literature and remember how much of a gift it really is. When he describes what the future of the world could have been, looking forward from the 1950’s, he shows the chaos and destruction it has brought to humanity. I found this book beautifully written with a wonderful concept and appreciated it very much. The book was somewhat of a quick read and was very interesting. I highly recommend this book to everyone, but especially if you need a book for a report or project.
This book was recommended to me by a friend and I regret not reading it when he first recommend it to me because I cheated myself out of an amazing book for a while.
You’ve spoken about this book to me before. I agree, its interesting that he had these ideas more then a half a century ago.
