A stand-alone poem.
“Hey hey hey
Ba de ya, say do you remember
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day”
– Earth, Wind & Fire, September
•••
I walk in
Crowded halls
I see the light in
Empty souls
I dream of
Waterfalls and
pieces falling
into
place
•••
But every day,
a new fantasy
emerges like
an enemy
and suddenly
things don’t seem so
easy
•••
So when I tell you
it’ll be alright
you do not have to
put up a fight
for i am the one
that commands
the shadows
the light
and the story
